US-based video ad network AdoTube, which was acquired by Exponential
Interactive, owner of online advertising firm Tribal Fusion, in September 2011,
has launched its operations in India. Steve Jones, Chief Strategy and
Operations Officer, AdoTube is currently in India and is exploring business opportunities
here. The company has already hired three people for its India operations and
its offices are based out of Tribal Fusion’s offices in Mumbai and New Delhi.
Speaking to India Digital Review, Steve Jones said that besides India, the company is also looking to venture into South East Asian and the Australian markets. “India and the Asia Pacific region are very important markets for us. Our proprietary technology, solutions and services make AdoTube a leading in-stream advertising company for the multiscreen video industry,” added Jones.
Steve Jones believes that it is not a late entry in India as the existing players don’t have that depth and technological edge that AdoTube enjoys. AdoTube offers various video advertising solutions to advertisers such as interactive pre-roll and in-stream screen takeover, in-stream branded skin, overlay, and video-in-video ads. Apart from this, the firm also offers a solution named 'Ad Selecter', in which a user can actually select the brand message, product, or promotion that he is most interested in.
According to Steve Jones, AdoTube will leverage Exponential's global footprint, which consists of 33 locations, across 23 countries, and will immediately expand its presence globally from just the United States. AdoTube will also apply Tribal Fusion's advanced audience platform, consisting of data, targeting, optimisation, and audience insights to its in-stream video solution, making it a more advanced video offering in the market.
