Times Internet (TIL) has forged a strategic partnership with America’s business news website ‘Business Insider’ to launch its Indian version. The company will be creating international and localised content, events, monetization, and syndication for Business Insider India. This is Times second international tie-up after its pact with Gawker Media to bring Gizmodo and Lifehacker to India two months back.
Satyan Gajwani, CEO, Times Internet said, “Business Insider is one of the most successful digital-first news organizations in the world. Their bold and direct editorial perspective grips readers, and already today attracts a strong loyal following within India. We can't wait to expose them to a larger audience and increase their relevance and prominence in India."
Henry Blodget, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Business Insider said, “We have many loyal readers in India, so making it the site of the latest international version of Business Insider makes a lot of sense for us.”
All the international partnerships that Times is forging are under its Times Local Partners (TLP) initiative.
Founded in 2007, Business Insider claims to have 15 million monthly visitors worldwide. The company had forayed in Australian market earlier this month; the Indian version will further help Business Insider expand its presence in the Asian sub continent. Business Insider offers a subscription research service, Business Insider Intelligence that provides in-depth insight, data and analysis of the mobile industry.
