EdServ launches WAP application HumThum.com, eyes Rs 200 cr revenues in 3 years

Education services company EdServ has launched a mobile application HumThum.com which provides educational support services like doubt clearing, tutor search and assessments, career services and local area based services for students. EdServ claims to have invested $ 1 million over the last two years on developing the application and is aiming revenues of Rs 200 crore over the next three years from this initiative.

"With the rapid adoption of smartphones in India, especially among the student segment, we believe we have a clear first mover advantage with the launch of this first-of-its-kind Educational Mobile applications whereby we have moved our entire educational content to the mobile enabling students to access our educational services anytime, anywhere," S Giridharan, Chairman, EdServ has said in a statement.

"This service will be available in Samsung smartphones, but our objective is to offer this service in all mobile phones. We will also tie-up with mobile operators," Giridharan added.
