Former Digital Head of Ogilvy Delhi launches digital brand consultancy Brandlogist
16 Jan 2012

Saurabh Parmar, ex Digital Head of Ogilvy Delhi has launched Brandlogist Communications. Describing this venture, Saurabh Parmar told India Digital Review that Brandlogist is a brand consultancy with it's DNA in the digital medium. Before joining Ogilvy, Saurabh Parmar was the Delhi Branch Head of Drizzlin Media and had also worked as an Account Manager at Quasar Media.

"There are a bunch of agencies who are doing a brilliant job of creating digital properties-whether it be websites, banner campaigns or social media platforms, that's something we do and are reasonably good at but our forte is different,” Parmar added.

Detailing the company’s differentiating factors, Parmar said that the strategy lies in seeing how digital can make a business impact by going beyond blindly increasing Facebook followers or building microsites. “We do not believe in having a fixed methodology or a rigid team structure when approaching a client's problem. Some of our ideas can come in the form of social media campaigns, ORM solutions, branding solutions or even how to 'crowdsource a menu card'. Apart from this we lay a very strong emphasis on integration, since any consumer doesn't exist in silos of mediums. The idea is to reach out, involve him across mediums and give him a reason to come to the digital platform-whatever it's nature,” added Parmar.

Interestingly the  company does not have any divisions of creative, servicing, and planning. As Saurabh says, “The idea is to hire the best people and fit them in roles they enjoy are good at. Also allows us to hire multifaceted individuals where we are building a strong content team of photographers, video editors etc and plan is to expand and build this further. A differentiation is that in terms of number of clients, we plan to take a maximum of 5 clients at a time since beyond this may increase our revenue but we are not sure if we can add value to the clients and the focus is on value add.”

The business strategy is just too good and in sense pioneering as today most of the agencies at large do not look beyond facebook, viral or other traditional social media tactics. Therefore it would be interesting to see someone actually going that extra mile and exploring indefinite digital media.
Also the client strategy of brandlogist is too cool of providing quality rather going for quantity.
Three words: awesome, awesome, awesome!!!!!
