Lonely Planet, one of the world’s largest
travel guide book and digital media publisher, has appointed Noida-based social
media and digital consulting firm Iffort as its digital media agency partner in
India. Earlier, Lonely Planet opened an office in India in Gurgaon in 2011 and
is launching a brand new series of travel guidebooks, designed especially for
the Indian traveller, on 12th September 2012.
As a specialist agency Iffort’s role will
extend towards the full digital spectrum, including rolling out strategic
community engagement and search engine optimization programs to position the
guidebooks among the target audience in India.

Iffort will handle the digital media strategy for Lonely Planet India
including suggesting specific ideas for target audience engagement on social

using our domain-experience to build on Lonely Planet India’s growing
reputation an iconic travel brand and strengthen its community relationship,”
